Christmas Decorating - Finished :-)

Well, I'm relieved and happy that decorating is finished. It only took about 12 hours all together. I did the tree Thursday, then did the rest this morning. I am happy with the results.

Hope you enjoy the pictures of our cottage Christmas.

What is Christmas?

It is tenderness for the past,

courage for the present,

hope for the future.

It is a fervent wish

that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal,

and that every path may lead to peace.

It is perfect for your cottage.....or any other house! Some pieces look antique.

I still haven't put out all of mine. Just have the tree up and our daughter and gd did it on Thanksgiving.

Everything looks so beautiful! I love all
your ornaments, especially the little red
heart with roses. Never would have thought
of hanging ornaments on the wall like that
but it's very pretty.
Merry Christmas to you, too!

What a lovely post! Your quote at the end is great. Your decor looks wonderful too! I really like the ornaments around the ceiling. Clever! (I also like that grey, cat ornament!) :) Glad you could get all your decorating done and can now sit back and enjoy!

You have such lovely ornaments; everything looks so beautiful. If we weren't stuck in a remodel I would have pulled out my Nativities and my Santa collection. Perhaps next Christmas we'll be closer to having something completed.

I love your tree, FlowerLady, it is lovely! What a great idea to photograph your favorite ornaments. I never would have thought of that.

I decorated too, and it probably took me about the same amount of time that it took you (12 hours I think you said). I did my decorating in reverse of yours though, I did my overall house decorating first (outside and inside) and then decorated the tree a few days later. As you say, it is such a relief to have it done. I am not looking forward to packing it all away though!

Thank you for your nice comment on my blog. You are so right, gardening takes time. I have a vision of my "finished" (haha) garden in my mind, but alas I never seem to be able to actually translate that to the real world.

I enjoyed the photos, thank you and Merry Christmas.

Your Christmas ornaments look wonderful and festive. I'm in love with that adorable mouse in the white fluffy hat. Love the hanging snowflakes and the ornaments above the arched doorway too!

I do love it! So cozy and charming. Of course the little ballerina made me smile. The last picture looks like a Christmas Card.

Oh, I love your Christmas decorating ideas! The tree is so lovely and the ornaments are wonderful. I see so many made with love by you. I also am in awe of the idea of hanging ornaments from the ceiling. I have so many that could be displayed in this way and now you have given me the know-how to do it next year! Your home is so cozy and inviting, a clear reflection of your care and love. Thank you for inviting us in to visit!

Flower lady I like your tree and decorations, here are the ornaments I liked the most.

The snowman, Lions, the puppy in the sock, the mouse and the ballerina. I also enjoyed the encouraging Christmas poem and these words in particular... " Courage for the present, hope for the future" it is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings."

Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day!

Well you certainly have been a busy bee! Fun and Festive! That looks like a tiny tapestry rug in the nativity set, neat idea. Joy to you this season, you are a very special lady.

The tree is decorated beautifully. And the unique presentation of the ornaments as ceiling border is so "you"! Your angel collection is very special, also. Thanks for inviting us in.

Flowerlady ... your cottage is certainly looking quite festive. Everything looks fabulous ... can you just pop over and decorate my place now please? I haven't really started yet ... over here it's hard to get excited about decorating when it's so hot and humid! I've enjoyed having a peek at your place though ... great work.
