View out scullery window

Good afternoon everyone ~ Hope your day is going well. I took the pictures below just a little while ago. It's my view as I wash dishes. This time of year the Royal Poinciana blooms and it is gorgeous. I love the orange with the blue sky.

This morning I trimmed the hedgerow along the sidewalk out front, and some along the driveway as well, then raked and bagged it up to be picked up tomorrow. I was pooped when I came in and had had enough of the heat, humidity and sweating. We've now had lunch and I feel ready for a short nap.

Have an nice afternoon and evening.

beautiful view from that window - and I had never seen a royal poinciana before. Don't blame you going for a nap after all that work this morning. We're getting loads of hail here today.

Hope you enjoyed your nap... Lovely photos! I like the blue sky with orange too and your blue bottles. I am forgetting the name of this music... beautiful! ;>)

oops forgot to say that the title of your post brought back memories as my granny always used the word scullery.

I'll come wash your dishes if I can look at that view!

I enjoy my window over the sink, too. You don't think how much you enjoy something till it's gone, and I can say that, in the house we lived in before this one, I really missed not being able to see outside while I puttered around in the kitchen. It made me feel "cooped up". There's something relaxing about being able to see outside.

What a beautiful red bush!

HI ! You have been busy ! And I just spent too much at Lowes again !!! Mulch, potting soil, few flowers, planter basket and a hummingbird plant hanger..1/2 what I bought was not necessary !! ( trying to be even more frugal like you ! ) Did not work today, take care, Gina

I'd probably wash dishes all the time with that view!

Carol ~ I laid down but couldn't really sleep. Now I'm having a cup of tea. You can see what tune is playing in the sidebar with the player, the song will be highlighted.

Rosie ~ Thank you for visiting. Sorry you are having hail today. Hope it doesn't damage your lovely, wonderful gardens. I love calling this part of our kitchen the scullery. It fits.

Cameron ~ :-) I sure love looking out that window. Up until about 6 years ago, before we did this remodeling, I looked at a wall while washing dishes, not nice at all.

Ilene ~ I know exactly what you mean about feeling 'cooped' up, not having a window over the sink. I really enjoy seeing butterflies, birds, our outdoor feline, bees, blooms, trees and sky.

Gina ~ Living frugally takes some getting used to. For us, it's now a way of life. Enjoy your goodies.

Thanks for all your kind comments.

You have a lovely view both inside and out. That is a huge Royal Poinciana! I love my window above my kitchen sink too. I have a view of the back porch and on into the backyard. It really helps to make kitchen work more fun.

What a lovely view! You are one lucky lady. When I wash my dishes I get to look at the side of my neighbors house and her huge patch of weeds.....LOL I love that orange!

Beautiful view! I love Royal Poinciana! The flower, the leaves and the canopy shape of the tree are all lovely. Our community has quite some Royal poinciana in blooming as well, just make driving around so enjoyable.

Oh, I love those blue bottles of yours too!

The view out the scullery window always makes me think of those trompe l'oeil paintings of windows. It is just so perfectly balanced. When we did the remodel, I chose a casement type window so my view wouldn't be broken with the frame of the double hung ones I had.

The orange shrub is beautiful. I always enjoy seeing the tropical plants you grow.

I take naps too.

The view outside your window is a painting. Amazing colors against that beautiful blue sky.

Most lovely! The Royal Poinciana is beautiful. They're blooming here too but the views are unlike yours. I love your inside view too.
