Trying to get back to normal, whatever that is.

Good morning Friends ~ Boy, setting up our Etsy shop, has been time consuming, and we're still not done. Getting the banner the way we wanted it, and the header for the blog have taken hours. We've still pictures to take and upload, then list each item, etc. We've been working on shop policies, bio, etc. I'll be so glad when this is all set up, and we can resume our 'normal' (whatever that is) everyday living.

Yesterday I had to get out and do something after being indoors for three days. I did laundry, got it hung out, mowed, weed-wacked, and trimmed the front hedgerow. I was pooped when I got done. I took a short nap then worked more on tweaking the banner and the header and got frustrated and even shed a few tears. I do feel better this morning. Now I need to fold and put away clean laundry, wash the dishes, and get some beans cooking.

Here are some pictures taken the last couple of days. Click on pictures for closer views.

Below is looking into the secret garden. On the lattice to the left of doorway, is Confederate Jasmine. I look forward to this blooming every spring. The scent is heavenly. Close ups of the blooms in the photos after the one below.

The next three pictures are of hibiscus blooms.

These are Hyacinth Bean vine blooms.

This is Maggie.

Spicy Jatropha

This is a picture of the main garden which really made me fall in love with our place yesterday morning. The spiderwort blooms with all the attending bees were our in full force. I love these blooms.

The next three pictures are Texas Sage blooms.

These are blanket flowers.

This is Chrysler Imperial.
I sure wish you could smell this deep,
luxurious scent and see the velvety petals.

That's it for now.
I'm too frazzled to look up all the correct garden names for my blooms this morning,
so their old fashioned garden variety names will just have to do.

Hope you all have a great day.

I love your garden. With the roses, it looks like an English garden. Oh, I can smell your rose petals. Can I have some to make a luxurious bath? Wow, you have hibiscus too!

I know how frustrating working on the computer can be. My laptop will not let me on the internet so I am using Hubby's but I had all my sites saved on mine. I worked on it for two days and still not doing anygood so off to the shop it will go when the money is right. God bless and lovely gardens I would love to just take a walk through it and let the peace overwhelm me.

Hope all gets in order with your new venture soon. I'm glad you stopped to enjoy the garden and share with us. The main garden picture is so nice. The spiderwort clumps along the path look so cottagey.

Oh, I recognize the Texas Sage! I have a collection of about 9 in my garden. I do love the blooms. I can empathize with the frustration in setting up websites and getting things just right. I hope it all goes well so you can relax and enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that your getting the shop up an running.:-) I know it can be a true hassle and it's always stuff you thought would be simple and easy to do. Well it is for me anyway. I so admire your tenacity. I think it can be a bit overwhelming to start a new business no matter how easy and simply your supposed to think it is.Ha! Good for you, getting it done girlfriend!
As always the garden looks lovely and I agree, as charming as an old English garden. I would love to wander through enjoying all the heavenly scents and interesting treasures in it.
((Big Hugs))

Good morning Folks ~ Thanks for visiting and your kind comments.

Autumn Belle ~ I love my roses. I hadn't thought of rose petals in a bath, but that sure sounds luxurious. I have 4 different hibiscus I think.

Catsngrams ~ Hope you are able to get your computer fixed soon. It's amazing how we can't live without them. I do feel peace walking around in my gardens, even though there is traffic racing by 20-30 ft away.

NanaK ~ I definitely needed a break. Today I get to go to my job out in the world, and that will be a break too. I just love those spiderwort clumps, and they keep spreading too. :-)

Noelle ~ I have three Texas Sage. They all are in huge pots. I remember a post on your blog about them, and how not to butcher them. I love the flowers.

LeSan ~ You are so right about thinking it will be simple, and it just isn't. Instructions aren't clear either, and it all gets confusing and frustrating to say the least. Thank you for your big hugs, they mean a lot.

Ami ~ It's always rough starting out, and hopefully things will be running much smoother soon. We got the Texas Sage at Walmart a few years back. The roses I've bought online, and some from Abell's Nursery on Lantana Rd. They have a wonderful selection of roses there.

Susan ~ If everyone could have a secret garden they should. It just does something for you. Our whole yard almost is a secret garden, our haven from the hectic world out front.

Annie ~ The hibiscus really add a tropical touch to our gardens. If I could afford it, I'd add some more to my small collection. There are some real beauties out there.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I enjoy seeing your wonderful flowers - AND knowing their names! My favorite shots are of the "hardscape" though. Seeing the settings and various arrangement of garden elements is something I can't get enough of! It pleases my eyes.
