Blotanical

I've tried several times to get into Blotanical, does any one know what is going on?

I've seen via comments and Twitter that Stuart is moving it to a new server and doing some other maintenance. Every so often it goes down while he works on it. I miss it!

Flower Lady...Word on the street is that Blotanical has been taken down to migrate data (?) or some such IT talk. It will take several days.

Down for the renovations that were promised in the last news in November. I learned by searching for 'Blotanical down 2010' and landed on Diana's blog where she'd received a 'tweet' about it.

'Few Days' was mentioned.

You know I have had the same problem. I am sorry to say I am glad to hear it is not just me. I initially signed up - then could not sign in. Stewart changed my email, I signed in and then nothing worked again.

There is a note on the website saying he is reworking it. Stewart did post a note saying something about folks having trouble remembering their passwords but this is not the case with me....

Hope you get through. Let me know if you hear something.

Hi FlowerLady,
I haven't had time to participate in blotanical for the last couple of weeks, but noticed that the icon, or whatever it's called, is no longer on my sidebar. I clicked on the blank space, and can't remember what came up, but blotanical did not. There must be a big problem Stuart is working to fix. If he's not able to fix it, I'm glad you got in on time to meet lots of friendly bloggers.

I surely do not know anything. If you do find out, please let me know too. I would appreciate it.

Hello,

I had heard from another blogger, who had heard from Stuart that he is switching to another server and that Blotanical was going to be offline until then. Hopefully, it will happen soon.

No idea, but boy do I miss it! On the upside, I have a lot more time on my hands. I wish I would have put more garden blogs in my google reader to follow. I'm not sure how I'm going to find all those great blogs I've been sporadically reading....

Hi FL, I noticed it was down on Sunday, and then found out why, via other blogs, FB, etc...! However, I have enjoyed visiting more bloggers this way and not feel bogged down by picks or other distractions! I've even had more visitors than normal! Although I like Blotanical for meeting new bloggers, and I am happy for it, I have found this period of time to be a refreshing change;-)

Message from Stuart
I hope it doesn't take too much longer.

I was wondering if it was just me .... then I tried a few blogs that I knew were on Blotanical and couldn't access it via them either so I'm glad I spotted your post and found out the answer!

I guess normal service will be resumed as soon as possible?!

I miss Blotanical too. Maybe it will be faster when Stuart gets done with it. He was making changes so navigation will be better. It has grown so fast that I am surprised he can keep it all going as good as he does.

I was wondering whether it was just my computer which was messed up and couldn't open Blotanical. I'm glad to hear (how mean of me!) that its a common problem. I'm sure Stuart's got a whole lot of great changes planned. Got to hang on till then. But Oh, I really miss the site! And the bloggers!

I don't know anything for certain, except I can't log on. BUT...I'm kind of enjoying the vacation. Blotanical is wonderful for new blogs and connecting with worldwide blogs, but I'm enjoying visiting my faves during this little vacation. I hope it'll be back up soon. I feel like I'm missing out!
