My 'bead ship' came in.

Yesterday when I got home from work, I saw a pkg. sitting in my chair. It was from a dear online friend in Idaho. She knows I'm into beaded embroidery these days and last week she emailed me saying my 'bead ship' was in. She said she had more than enough to last two life times so would be sending me some of her stash. She mailed the pkg. Monday and yesterday (Wednesday) it was here. We were both surprised at that.

I changed clothes, poured DH and I a glass of pre-dinner wine, and opened the pkg. and couldn't quit smiling and ooohing and aaahing over it all. I am thrilled and I am grateful for her gift. DH said your 'bead ship' definitely did come in.

Here are pictures for those of you who are interested and can relate to my excitement and joy.

She even sent me a great selection of embroidery floss,
a quilter's pencil for drawing onto dark fabrics,
some thread winders,
and a beaded head piece.

Look at all these beads, the colors are beautiful.
I can hardly wait to get started with using them.

Here I sorted them into colors. Wow!

So, if you don't see me much, you'll know what I'm doing. :-) Plus, we're working on a screened room off the back of our little cottage, and I'm revamping the inside of my little 6'x8' shed, which is gardening, laundry and crafts.

It is much warmer today than it has been. I am going to try to get some laundry washed and hung out, make a savory chicken pot pie, make more bread, hand water some plants, and see what else might come my way.

Have a great day wherever you are, whatever you do.

I'm not into seed beads - but I am a beader - and getting a box like that would make me swoon!

What a fantastic box to receive. Your ship really did come in.

I love opening boxes of bead packages. Its just so exciting! However - I've never received one like that. Most of mine are small envelopes!!

I don't know anything about your hobby but I do understand your thrill. What a treasure...you may never have to buy beads again.

The screened porch sounds like a wonderful addition.

Good morning Friends ~ Once again, thank you for all of your kind, encouraging comments.

Aims ~ I love seed beads, although some of them are very tiny to work with. I've got some that I had in my own stash that are from a necklace of strands of these tiny little things, and I can hardly see the hole to get them on the needle. Trying to thread the needle is a fun project too. I'm still swooning over this box of beads.

Sharon ~ Thank you, 'may my bead ship never sink'. That's a nice thought.

Gld ~ I shouldn't have to buy beads for awhile that's for sure. The screeened room is going to be so nice. Our jacuzzi, outdoor shower and ball and claw foot tub are back there, along with a swing. I'll be putting more plants there when we're all done too.

Catherine ~ It has warmed up nicely. We had rain yesterday morning, then the power went out for an hour, so I sat in front of my window embroidering away.

Rambling Tart ~ Fun, yes and I'm still grinning.

Becca ~ I cooked up the chicken pot pie filling, but didn't make it into a pie. I served it over rice. It was yummy.

Kit ~ I know what you mean about getting real mail. :-) This pkg was great!

Dirt Princess ~ Yesterday I used some of the threads and some of the beads. I'm almost finished with the latest piece.

Kary ~ Oh my are you in for a treat visiting a bead store. I've only been to one, and I went with a certain amount of $. If I had had unlimited funds, I would have come out of there with gobs and ooodles of beautiful beads. We even had to put our purses in a locker and take the key, to prevent shop lifting. I bet they had surveillance cameras too. They had precious and semi-precious beads in there and it was just amazing and almost too much to look at. ~ Glad you like the music.

kanak ~ It was a precious pkg. as it meant a lot, because it was a gift. They will give me many hours of enjoyment that's for sure.

Thanks again everyone. I know this isn't a LOT of peoples cup of tea, but I just had to share.
