Our Octoberfest Lunch

Hi again everyone. Since this is October, I wanted to fix DH and I a German style Octoberfest lunch. I bought German style Bratwurst sausages, put them in the crockpot with beer, onion and seasonings. Made hot German potato salad. Heated up a can of sauerkraut with caraway seeds sprinkled in, and made a loaf of pumperknickel rye bread in my bread machine. Boy oh boy, was it ever smelling yummy in here. The lunch was served with ice cold Spatan beer from Germany.

Now I am pleasantly stuffed, still sipping my beer and below is a picture of our Octoberfest lunch. Not very colorful, that's for sure, but it sure was good tasting.

Hey there. Your lunch sounds like it was pretty good. Do you have an Octoberfest celebration near you? We have the Oktoberfest in Hermann MO every year with its German Bier Garten highlighting German beer, and all the fixins, then there's beer, arts and crafts, did I mention beer?
Good fun.

Hi Sunday Girl ~ DH and I were just talking about the Oktoberfest that used to happen around here for years. Bus loads of people used to go by here heading to the grounds where they had this. Don't know if they still have it or not. Have a great October.
